Fractional business operations

Your financials, systems and deadlines, run whole — none of it on your desk:

  • Systems, handled — workflows documented, records organized
Retainers from $2,500 a month
03
For business owners

Financial administration

Just the books, run properly — the place to start:

  • Bookkeeping, handled — current, reconciled monthly
  • Payables and receivables, handled — issued, scheduled, followed up
  • Payroll and month-end, handled — administered, closed, reported
Priced by scope — from $1,250 a month
WHY IT MATTERS

The work always lands somewhere. Right now, it lands on you.

For an agent, every file is a chance to look sharp in front of your clients. The Back Office makes sure of it — every deadline met, every client briefed before they have to ask. For an owner, being your own back office means the books run behind, the deadlines live in your head, and the business quietly stops growing. The Back Office takes the whole of it off your desk — and runs it beautifully.

You might need a back office if:

  • Paperwork, books, renewals, and follow-ups are being done after hours.
  • Deadlines live in your head, in your inbox, or on sticky notes.
  • Clients, lawyers, lenders, staff, or suppliers are waiting on you for the next step.
  • The business is busier, but the operation feels less controlled.
  • Every new file, listing, or client creates the same scramble.

We take that work off your desk, run it to a schedule, and show you where it stands.

The Docket · The Register
Run on a system.
Watched by a person.

Every client gets a private dashboard: real estate clients get the Docket, business clients get the Register — every file, every deadline, at a glance, kept current through the day.

HOW IT WORKS

Started in
three steps.

01

Tell us what is piling up

A thirty-minute discovery call, or a few lines by message. You will always get a written proposal with scope and pricing.

02

Onboarding

A one-time setup: your systems, your files, your preferences, documented. The operation is built once, properly.

03

Handled

The work runs — carefully, completely, and on time. You see everything, any time, on your own private operations dashboard.

Structured
Every file and deadline, on the record.
Current
Books and files kept up to date, month over month.
Fair
You pay for a moving file, never for waiting.
Discreet
Your business, handled quietly behind the scenes.
Accountable
One desk. Nothing handed off.

Re: A note from me

I started The Back Office Co. because I kept seeing the same thing.

Talented people building good businesses, and losing their evenings to paperwork. Agents running five files from their phone in a parked car. Owners doing payroll after the kids are in bed.

For 25 years I have been the person who makes the operational side work. I have run offices, built processes, kept books clean. Not one deadline missed.

I work with a small number of clients at a time, on purpose. That is how I stay close to every file and every date. When you hire this desk, the work stays on it — not a marketplace of strangers, and never handed off.

I like plain language, written plans, and quiet weeks where nothing goes wrong. If that sounds like what your business needs, I would be glad to hear from you.

FAQ

Straight answers, no fine print.

Where are you located?

Calgary, Alberta — working remotely with clients across Canada.

Do you work in our systems, or yours?

Yours. Files, books and records live in your own systems and folders, where you can see them any time. Nothing is held hostage in ours.

How does billing work?

Agents are billed monthly, per file — capped, so a long file never runs away. Businesses are on a monthly retainer. The full rates are on each service page. No hourly billing inside scope, and anything outside scope is quoted and approved in writing first.

How do we start?

Book a discovery call or send a message. Every call is followed by a written proposal with scope and pricing, so you can decide in your own time.

Let’s take it
off your desk.

Tell us about your business and how we can help. A few lines is plenty — every message is read and answered by the back office itself. White-glove, start to finish. No slide deck, no pressure — we will take it from there.
